This groundbreaking initiative brings together patient advocates, health care professionals, biomedical researchers, medical innovators, payers, policymakers, and thought leaders to harness the power of all Americans to transform cancer care and delivery.
The National Patient Advocate Foundation and its partners launched Project Innovation in June 2014. One of our first projects, Securing the Future of Innovation in Cancer Treatment, identified institutional, regulatory, and funding factors responsible for driving up costs and delaying the development of new cancer therapies. We have built on this foundation to continue bringing communications, policy, and best practices perspectives to examining key issues, including patient access to optimal therapy, cost of care, innovative payment, and delivery methods and shared decision making.
